Chocolate Cinnamon Squares
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Egg||1 , separated|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Semi-sweet chocolate morsels||6 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Add butter, shortening, egg, and egg yolk., mixing well.
Press evenly into a lightly greased 15- x 10- x 1-inch jellyroll pan.
Beat egg white slighdy, and brush over mixture.
Combine 1/3 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, chocolate morsels, and pecans; sprinkle over bottom layer.
Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
Cool and cut into 2-inch squares.
