|Powdered sugar||32 Ounce, sifted (2 Packages)|
|Sweetened condensed milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped pecans||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Flaked coconut||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Semisweet chocolate morsels||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
Combine sugar, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and vanilla; stir until smooth.
Stir in pecans and coconut.
Roll mixture into 1-inch balls, and chill at least 1 hour.
Combine chocolate and shortening in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil.
Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts.
Place several candy balls in chocolate mixture; roll with spoon to coat evenly.
Remove from mixture with a wooden pick or spoon, allowing excess chocolate to drain.
Place on wax paper to cool.
Repeat procedure until all candy balls are coated.
Cover and store in refrigerator.
