|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon, dissolved in 3 tablespoon boiling water|
|Boiling water||3 Tablespoon|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shredded coconut||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream butter; add sugars and mix well.
Add flour alternately with water and baking soda.
Dredge chopped nuts and dates in a little flour before adding.
Add coconut and mix well.
Form into a roll and refrigerate overnight.
Slice thin and bake 13 minutes at 350°.
