Frosted Delights

Frosted delights are egg and sugar frosted cookies sprinkled with nuts. Baked with a batter of flour, eggs, sugar and vanilla for flavor, the frosted delights are delightful to serve with a glass of warm milk.
Ingredients
  Cake flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
  Egg white 1 , stiffly beaten
  Nut meats 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 325F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder together
3.Cream shortening with granulated sugar until fluffy
4.Add eggs, vanilla and sifted ingredients and mix well
5.Spread batter very thin on baking sheet
6.Fold brown sugar into egg white, spread over cookie batter and sprinkle with nuts
7.Bake in slow oven for 30 minutes
8.Cut into squares
SERVING
9.Serve warm
