Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
  Butter/Shortening 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Brown sugar 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Hot water 2 Teaspoon
  Oatmeal 750 Milliliter (3 Cups)
  All purpose flour 250 Milliliter (1 Cup)
Directions

Cream butter and sugar.
Dissolve soda in water and add to butter mixture.
Add oatmeal and flour.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cooky sheet and press flat with a fork.
Or they may be divided in rolls, chilled, then sliced.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned at 350F (180C).
