|Butter/Shortening||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Brown sugar||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Hot water||2 Teaspoon|
|Oatmeal||750 Milliliter (3 Cups)|
|All purpose flour||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
Cream butter and sugar.
Dissolve soda in water and add to butter mixture.
Add oatmeal and flour.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cooky sheet and press flat with a fork.
Or they may be divided in rolls, chilled, then sliced.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned at 350F (180C).
