All Purpose Marinade

Mormon.Cook's picture
Olive oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Package good seasons mild italian salad dressing mix 1
Salad oil 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)

Put all ingredients into blender. Blend on high speed for one minute. Or put into a pint jar and shake hard. The blender method makes a marinade (or dressing) that doesn't separate easily, so it is ideal when feeding a crowd. To vary the taste, use part olive oil and/or part wine vinegar. Or use any flavor of dressing mix you prefer. The one listed has been found to please many guests. In addition to vegetables, this marinade works well for tough meat, such as flank steak or London broil cuts. It helps to tenderize the meat and seasons at the same time. For this, increase vinegar to 3/4 to 1 cup.
