Ingredients
  Whole wheat pastry flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Unbleached white flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 4 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together.

MAKING
2) Cut in the shortening until the mixture has an even breadcrumb texture.

SERVING
3) Store this mixture in a covered container in the refrigerator to use later as a basic mixture for the biscuits, dumplings, shortcake, waffles and muffins by adding milk to prepare the dough.
4) Use as required.
