Very Berry Compote
|Frozen raspberries||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Frozen blueberries||12 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Frozen strawberries||20 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Dark raisins/Light raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Raspberry jelly||10 Ounce|
|Orange zest||1 Teaspoon, grated|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped candied ginger||2 Tablespoon|
Combine the berries, raisins, jelly, cinnamon, cloves, orange zest, orange juice, and ginger in a large, nonaluminum saucepan and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
Once the jelly has melted, lower the heat and let the mixture boil slowly for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until it is slightly thickened.
Remove from the heat and let it stand for about 20 minutes.
As the compote stands, it will become thicker.
