Hot Plum Compote

Ingredients
  Canned purple plums 29 Ounce, pitted (1 Can, 1 Pound 13 Ounce)
  Madeira 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped orange 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Drain plums, reserving 1 cup syrup.
In a 1 1/2 qt.glass casserole dish mix together plum syrup, wine and cornstarch.
Microwave 2 to 4 minutes or until clear and slightly thick.
Stir every minute during cooking.
Stir in plums, lemon juice, orange and salt.
Microwave 4 to 6 minutes or until hot.
Stir once during cooking.
