Dried Fruit Compote
|Mixed dried fruit||10 Ounce|
|Cinnamon stick||3 Inch|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Cherry pie filling||21 Ounce|
Mix dried fruit, cinnamon stick, sugar, lemon slices and water in saucepan.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 30 minutes.
Stir in cherry pie filling.
Serve warm or cold.
This fruit combo also makes a particularly nice accompaniment for ham or roast beef.
