Microwave Holiday Fruit Compote

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cooking apples 4 , sliced
  Fresh cranberries 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Orange wedges 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cardamom 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a glass microwave casserole, place the water and sugar and cook on HIGH (9) for 1 minute or until boiling.
2. Add fruit and spices and cover with plastic wrap. Insert a thermometer into liquid. Cook on HIGH (9); HEAT & HOLD at 185°F for 1 hour.

SERVING
3. Serve hot or cold
