Golden Fruit Compote
|Canned peach slices/Pear slices||29 Ounce, undrained (1 Can)|
|Dried apricots||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Golden raisins||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Orange juice||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
1) In a slow cooker, combine together the undrained peach or pear slices, apricots, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the orange juice and stir well. Completely immerse the fruit in liquid.
2) Cover the cooker and cook over low heat for 6 to 8 hours.
3) Serve cold along with pound cake, ice cream or angel food. Alternatively, the preparation can also be served warm as a side dish in the mail meal.
