Mixed Fruit Compote
|Dried apricots||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Dried prunes||1 Pound|
|Canned dark cherries||1 Pound, pitted (1 Can. With Liquid)|
|Canned pineapple chunks||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (With Liquid)|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
1. In a 3 quart slow-cooker or crock pot, combine all the fruits, canning liquid and water.
2. Cover the pot tightly with its lid.
3. Cook the fruits on HIGH for about 4 hours or on LOW for almost 7 hours until the fruits are soft and mushy.
4. Serve the compote hot or cold for breakfast, as a dessert or as an accompaniment to roasts.
