|Granulated sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cinnamon stick pieces||3 Inch|
|Plums||18 Large, quartered and pitted|
|Grated orange peel||1 Teaspoon|
|Seedless oranges||3 , pared and sectioned|
|Grand marnier liqueur||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flaked coconut||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1 In a large frying pan, combine sugar, water and cinnamon;heat to boiling.
2 Add plums and simmer for 2 minutes, or until the plums are tender but still firm enough to hold their shape.
3 Cool and remove the cinnamon sticks.
4 Fold in the orange peel and sections and Grand Marnier;
5 Spoon into a shallow serving bowl. Chill at least for an hour.
6 Sprinkle with coconut and garnish with a whole plum cut into a flower shape. (optional)
