Homemade Spiced Fruit Compote

Ingredients
  Canned peach halves 29 Ounce (1 Can, No. 2 1/2 Size)
  Canned pear halves 29 Ounce (1 Can, No. 2 1/2 Size)
  Canned green gage plums 20 Ounce (1 Can, No.2 Size)
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Cloves 15
  Cinnamon sticks 2 (3 Inch Size)
Directions

Drain liquor from the fruits into saucepan.
Add lemon juice, cloves, and cinnamon, and simmer, uncovered, for 20 min.
Strain, reserving cinnamon.
Meanwhile, arrange drained fruits in a bowl.
Pour hot syrup over all.
Top with cinnamon sticks; cool; then chill overnight in refrigerator.
