Three Fruit Compote

Ingredients
  Ripe pears 2 , peeled, cored and quartered
  Freshly squeezed orange juice 8 Fluid Ounce (250 Milliliter)
  Dark rum 2 Fluid Ounce (50 Milliliter)
  Cinnamon stick 1⁄2
  Seedless black grapes 6 Ounce, halved (175 Gram)
  Honey dew melon 1⁄2 , peeled, deseeded and cut into large chunks (Use Firm Fruit)
  Dessert biscuits 8 (To Serve)
Directions

Put the pears, orange juice, rum and cinnamon stick into a large saucepan.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the remaining fruit and simmer for a further 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl.
Chill overnight and remove the cinnamon before serving.
Decorate with a dusting of ground cinnamon, if liked, and serve with dessert biscuits.
