Spiced Berry Compote
|Frozen blackberries/Boysenberries||5 Cup (80 tbs) (Thawed)|
|Frozen blueberries||5 Cup (80 tbs) (Thawed)|
|Cornstarch||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Ground cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Grated nutmeg||1 Pinch|
|Whipped cream||1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)|
Drain berries well; reserve 1/2 cup juice.
Dissolve cornstarch in juice.
Combine berries in large saucepan.
Add sugar and spices and bring to boil over medium heat.
Blend in dissolved cornstarch, stirring constantly until slightly thickened.
Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
