|Unflavored gelatin||1 Teaspoon|
|Instant coffee powder||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Lemon peel twists||4|
Early on day:
Mix gelatin; instant coffee powder, and sugar.
Stir into water; pour into 9-inch-square pan; cool slightly; freeze.
About 20 minutes before supper:
1. Let pan stand at room temperature 10 minutes, or until coffee mixture can be scraped with a spoon.
2. Heap shavings in 4 to 6 goblets; set in freezer until served. Garnish with lemon twists.
