Baked Cod Steaks
|Cod steaks||2 Pound (Fresh)|
|Onions||2 Small, minced|
|Butter/Margarine / oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Drained canned tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Minced green pepper||2 Tablespoon|
|Celery salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Start oven, set at Moderate, 375° F. Rub a baking pan or dish with margarine.
2. Wipe the fish with a clean, damp cloth and arrange the steaks in the baking dish.
3. Wash and slice the onions, cook them in the butter, margarine or oil until tender but not browned. Stir the flour in, blend smoothly, add the tomato and green pepper, stir and let heat to boiling; stir continually. Add the salt, celery salt and pepper, mix well. Pour mixture over the fish. Bake 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the thickness of the steaks.
