Boiled Codfish

Ingredients
  Whole cod 1 , cleaned
  Salt To Taste
  Melted butter 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Raw)
  Chopped pickled beets 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped hard cooked eggs 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chopped parsley 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Rub the fish, inside and out, with salt and let it stand for an hour.
Place the whole fish in cold water to cover and bring it to a boil.
Cook the fish slowly uncovered until it is tender.
Remove and drain the fish.
Put the fish on a serving platter and pour melted butter over it.
The other chopped vegetables may be arranged around the platter as a garnish that will complement the flavor of the fish.
