Coconut Nut Macaroons
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Coconut||1 Cup (16 tbs), finely cut (Bakers)|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), finely chopped|
|Bran flakes||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Post 40 %)|
|Vanilla/2 cups post toasties / grape-nuts flakes||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Beat egg whites and salt until peaks will form.
Add sugar gradually, beating well after each addition.
Fold in remaining ingredients, blending well.
Press with fingers into small balls and place on heavy paper on baking sheet.
Bake in moderate oven (375Â°F.) for 10 minutes.
Remove from paper at once.
