Quick Coconut Cookies
|Day old white bread slices||6|
|Chopped walnuts/Pecans / peanuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned flaked coconut||3 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Sweetened condensed milk||14 Ounce (1 Can)|
1. Trim crusts from bread; cut into 4 pieces, lengthwise, to make sticks.
2. Combine nuts and coconut in one pie plate; pour condensed milk into a second pie plate.
3. Dip bread sticks into milk to coat well; roll in nut and coconut mixture; place on a greased cookie sheet.
4. Bake in moderate oven (375°) 10 minutes, or until golden. Remove with a spatula to wire racks; cool.
