Coconut Butter Cookies
|Butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed light brown sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs) (Firmly Packed)|
|Sifted flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Coconut||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Baker'S Angel Flake, Tinted)|
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Mix in egg yolks and vanilla.
Add flour and salt; mix well.
Mold dough with a cooky press into desired shapes on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake in hot oven (400Â°F.) 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove and cool on rack.
Combine egg whites with water and brush over cooled cookies.
Sprinkle with coconut.
