|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
1.Stir cocoa, sugar and either hot or cold water together and boil over the fire for 5 minutes; add salt.
2.Scald the milk in a double boiler
3.Then add to the cocoa mixture and stir until well blended or, add cold milk to the cocoa mixture after boiling for five minutes and let it stand over hot water until hot and well blended.
4.Beat with a rotary egg-beater to make foamy before serving.
5.Serve with whipped cream or marshmallows
