Cocoa Or Chocolate Syrup
|Cocoa/2 squares chocolate||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cold water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar/0.5 cup sugar and 0.5 cup light corn syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Cook the, cocoa or chocolate (broken into small pieces) and the water until smooth and thick.
Add sugar and salt and cook a few minutes longer.
The sauce may be kept in jars and used for pudding or ice cream sauce or for the basis of hot or iced drinks.
Use 2 tablespoons of syrup to each cup of milk.
