For 6 servings, mix 5 tablespoons cocoa, 5 tablespoons sugar, and a dash of salt in saucepan.
Add 1 cup cold water, and mix together; cook, stirring, over medium heat until thickened and bubbling.
Stir in 3 1/2 cups milk; keep stirring and heat just to boiling point.
Remove pan from heat, and pour into serving cups or mugs.
A drop or 2 of vanilla extract may be added.
