1. Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in a microwave-safe serving cup. Mix in water. Heat uncovered in microwave oven 30 seconds at HIGH.
2. Stir milk and vanilla extract into cocoa mixture. Heat uncovered in microwave oven to serving temperature (about 1 minute at HIGH).
3. Stir before serving.
