Spiced Hot Cocoa
|Unsweetened cocoa powder||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cinnamon stick||6 Inch|
|Nonfat dry milk powder||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Nonfat dry milk powder||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Ice water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
In saucepan combine unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, and salt; add the 1 cup water, stick cinnamon, and cloves.
Bring to boiling, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
Reconstitute the 1 1/3 cups nonfat dry milk powder in the 3 cups water.
Add to chocolate mixture in saucepan.
Bring just to boiling; stir in vanilla.
Remove cinnamon sticks and the whole cloves.
In mixer bowl combine 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder and 1/3 cup ice water; beat at high speed of electric mixer till stiff peaks form.
Pour hot cocoa into 6 heatproof mugs; top with a dollop of the whipped cream and cinnamon powder.
