Ginger Fruit Cocktail
|Ripe banana||1 (Fully Ripe, Flecked-With-Brown)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Fruit cocktail||1 Pound, well chilled and drained (1 Can - 2 Cups)|
|Fresh strawberries||1 Cup (16 tbs), halved and chilled|
|Honeydew balls/Cantaloupe / watermelon balls||1 Cup (16 tbs), chilled|
|Ginger ale||1 Cup (16 tbs), chilled (1 Small Bottle)|
Peel banana; slice on bias.
Dip banana slices in lemon juice to keep color bright.
Combine with remaining fruits, mixing gently.
Cover; keep chilled till serving time.
Just before serving, pour ginger ale over fruit.
Dash with aromatic bitters.
Ladle into chilled sherbets.
