Marinated Cocktail Mushrooms

Ingredients
  Fresh mushrooms 1 Pound
  Olive oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  White wine vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Clean mushrooms.
Cook in boiling salted water 10 minutes; drain well.
Combine with remaining ingredients.
Marinate mushrooms for 12 hours or overnight in a non-metallic container.
Serve as desired.
TIP:
If desired, use 2 cups drained canned button mushrooms, omitting the cooking step.
If desired, add 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke.
Simply delicious either way
