|White vinegar||1 Teaspoon|
|Lemons||2 , juiced|
|Cooked green peas||2 Ounce|
|Mayonnaise||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Prepare the fish, cut into small pieces.
Peel onion, cut into thin slices.
Put the fish and onion into glass or china bowl, pour over enough white vinegar to cover, stir in lemon juice.
Cover, let stand to marinate overnight.
Next day drain liquid from fish.
Combine fish and onion with peas and enough mayonnaise to hold mixture together; season to taste.
Shred a little lettuce into the bottom of four cocktail glasses and place spoonful of the fish mixture on top.
Sprinkle over the finely chopped or sliced peppers.
