Steamed Clams

Ingredients
  Clams in shell 30
  Butter 6 Tablespoon
  Lemon 1⁄2 , juiced
Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by scrubbing the shell with a brush and wash free of sand in several waters
2.In steamer, steam the clams for 10 minutes, or until opened
3.While the clams are steaming, melt the butter and mix with the lemon juice, salt and pepper
4.Lay a napkin on a hot platter and place the clams in their shells on this
5.Cover with a second napkin and serve
6.In eating, remove the clam from the shell and dip it in the sauce
SERVING
7.Serve with a sauce of your choice
TIPS
The thin, tough part known as the neck or siphon is not eaten. The hard shelled clam is used for steaming.
