Broiled Clams

Clams are my all-time favorite and when they are combined with pepper, pimento and lemon it tastes heavenly. These Broiled Clams are easy to prepare and makes the best pick as an appetizer for the parites.
  Cherrystone clams/Soft shell clams 12 Medium
  Salt To Taste
  Paprika To Taste
  Cayenne pepper To Taste
  Finely chopped green pepper 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Finely chopped red pimento 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Bacon slices 12 , cut into clam sized pieces
  Lemon sections 50 Gram

Prepare shallow baking pan with crumbled aluminum foil.
Firmly arrange clams on foil to steady them while cooking.
Season each clam with salt, paprika and cayenne pepper.
Add a pinch of green pepper, pimento and bacon pieces.
Place pan about 4 inches from broiler; broil until bacon has cooked.
Remove bacon; place in warm dish.
Broil clams for 5 to 6 minutes longer.
Serve in shell.
Garnish with bacon and lemon sections.
