Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water and set aside.
Mix the cinnamon and sugar together.
Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and roll into a 10x14 inch rectangle.
Cut in half lengthwise.
Brush both pastry halves with some of the egg mixture.
Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over 1 pastry half.
Place the remaining pastry half egg side down over the cinnamon-topped half.
Roll gently with a rolling pin to seal.
Cut crosswise into 28 (1/2 inch) strips.
Twist the strips.
Arrange 2 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.
Press down the ends.
Brush with the egg mixture.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
Serve warm or at room temperature with fruit salad.
