Cinnamon Baked Pears

Ingredients
  Red cinnamon candies 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Apple cider/Apple juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pears 2 Large
  Whipped cream 1 Tablespoon
  Walnuts 1 Tablespoon, chopped
Directions

In 8-inch glass pie plate micro-melt candies in cider, about 5 minutes.
Peel, halve, and core pears; place, cut side down, in syrup.
Micro-cook, covered, till tender, about 6 minutes; give dish a quarter turn every 2 minutes.
Chill.
To serve, spoon pears, cut side up, with syrup into dishes.
Top each with a dollop of cheese and sprinkle with nuts.
