Toasted Cinnamon Sticks
|Unsliced white bread loaf||1 Pound|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Undiluted evaporated milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Melted butter/Margarine||2 Tablespoon|
1. Start heating oven to 400Â°F.
2. From loaf of bread cut 6 1-inch slices. Remove crusts; cut each slice into 3 lengthwise strips.
3. Combine sugar and cinnamon on wax paper. Dip each bread strip in evaporated milk; then brush with melted butter; roll in cinnamon mixture; then place on wire rack in shallow baking pan.
4. Bake about 20 minutes. Serve with luncheon fruit salad or afternoon coffee.
