Ingredients
  Almonds 5 Ounce (1 cup)
  Aquavit 25 Ounce (1 bottle)
  Claret 25 Ounce (1 bottle)
  Cinnamon sticks 6 (2 1/2-inches)
  Dark seedless raisins 4 Ounce (1 cup)
  Candied oranges/Candied lemon peel pieces 6
  Whole cloves 12
  Cardamom seeds 12 , peeled
  Sugar loaf 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

1. Blanch almonds.
2. Empty aquavit and claret into a large saucepan or sauce pot.
3. Add the almonds, cinnamon sticks, raisins, orange or lemon peel, whole cloves and cardamom seeds.
4. Bring slowly to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer 10 min. Remove sauce
