Plum Rhubarb Chutney
|Rhubarb||1 Pound, cut in 1 inch pieces|
|Plums||1 Pound (Pitted)|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Pitted chopped dates||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground ginger||1 Teaspoon|
1.In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, put rhubarb, plums, onion, dates, vinegar, sugar and ground ginger.
2.Heat the ingredients on low flame so that the mixture resembles jam.
3.Allow the heated mixture ro settle and once done, transfer into jars and close.
4.Refrigerate the jars.
5.Serve as food accompaniment.
