Savory Mint and Coriander Chutney
|Mint leaves||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Fresh cilantro leaves and tender stems||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Ginger||2 Tablespoon, peeled, minced|
|Garlic||1 Tablespoon, minced|
|Ripe plum tomatoes||2 , seeded, chopped|
|Green jalapeno chili||1⁄2 , seeds and ribs removed, finely chopped (About 1 Teaspoon)|
|Green chili||1 Teaspoon, seeds and ribs removed, finely chopped|
|Lemon juice||3 Tablespoon|
|Ground cumin||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon, freshly ground|
|Plain non-fat yogurt||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1) In a food processor, place all the ingredients except the yogurt.
2) Process until the ingredients form a rough paste.
3) Transfer to a serving bowl. You can mix 2 tablespoons chutney into the yogurt and serve in a small serving bowl as a raita.
