This special Prune Chutney with its zesty falvor and lip-smackingly delicious taste is a wonderful treat to go with any meal and occasion. Follow this quick and easy to make recipe for Prune Chutney and spruce up any meal that you think is a little bland.
Ingredients
  Raisins 1⁄2 Pound
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Onions 1 Pound
  Vinegar 1 Pint
  Prunes 1 Pound
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm)
  Cloves 1⁄4 Ounce
  Sugar 1⁄4 Pound
  Cayenne pepper To Taste
Directions

Tie the cloves in a muslin bag and soak them for 48 hours with the washed prunes in just enough water to cover.
Boil the juice which remains with the cloves until reduced to half the amount.
Remove the bag of cloves.
Stone, and halve prunes, chop the raisins and onions.
Boil all ingredients together gently until soft and thick.
Add water to prevent drying out.
This chutney thickens quickly.
Bottle and seal.
