Date And Banana Chutney
|Bananas||12 , peeled and sliced|
|Onions||1 1⁄2 Pound, peeled and chopped (675 Gram)|
|Dates||1 Pound, chopped (450 Gram)|
|Malt vinegar||1 Pint (600 Milliliter)|
|Curry powder||10 Milliliter (2 Teaspoon)|
|Salt||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Black treacle||1 Pound (450 Gram)|
Place the first four ingredients into a large saucepan, cover and cook on a moderate heat until the onions become transparent, stir occasionally to prevent the bottom burning.
Add to the mixture the remaining ingredients and cook again until the chutney is thick, with a rich brown colour.
