|Onions||4 Pound, peeled and chopped to make 8 cups|
|Green apples||3 Pound, peeled and chopped to make 6 cups|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)|
|Seeded raisins||1 Pound|
|Powdered cloves||2 Teaspoon|
|Cayenne pepper||1 Dash|
Combine all ingredients in a large-kettle, and simmer uncovered for about 2 hrs., stirring occasionally or until mixture becomes thick and dark.
Pour immediately into hot sterilized preserve jars and seal immediately.
