Apple Chutney

  Apples 1 Kilogram (cooking variety)
  Sugar 3 Cup (48 tbs) (depending on tartness of apples)
  Onions 250 Gram
  Ginger 150 Gram
  Garlic 100 Gram
  Dried red chillies/3 teaspoons chilly powder 15 Gram
  Vinegar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 40 Gram

1. Clean and grate the apples. Chop the onions, ginger and garlic. Pound the red chillies.
2. Add the chopped ingredients, chilly powder and 1 cup of vinegar to the grated apples and cook until the apples and onions have become soft and the mixture is almost dry.
3. Now add the sugar, salt and the other cup of vinegar. Cook further until the mixture is of a chutney consistency.
4. Remove from fire, cool and bottle.
