Green Tomato And Pear Chutney

Ingredients
  Green tomatoes 1 Kilogram, peeled and chopped
  Pears 600 Gram, peeled and chopped (hard, unripe)
  Raisins 200 Gram, deseeded (brown)
  Onions 200 Gram, chopped
  Brown sugar 500 Gram
  Dried ginger powder 1 Tablespoon
  Powdered coriander seeds 1 Tablespoon
  Cardamom powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Place the chopped pears, tomatoes and onions in the pan. Add the brown sugar and allow it to melt. Mix well.
When the sugar has melted, place the vessel on medium heat and stir so that the fruit does not stick to the pan. Sprinkle salt and add the raisins.
When the mixture is thick and sticky, sprinkle the powdered spices into it. Stir well. Taste for sugar and salt. Remove from the fire.
Cool and pack into clean bottles.
