Green Tomato And Apple Chutney
|Miniature green tomatoes||500 Milliliter, cut into 8 pieces (2 Cups)|
|Green apple||125 Milliliter, peeled, chopped (1/2 Cup)|
|Green onions||80 Milliliter, chopped (1/3 Cup)|
|Celery salt||1⁄2 Teaspoon (2 Milliliter)|
|Hot pepper||1 Teaspoon, chopped (5 Milliliter)|
|Brown sugar||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Cider vinegar||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Red tomato||125 Milliliter, diced (1/2 Cup)|
|Sweet red pepper||125 Milliliter, diced (1/2 Cup)|
|Salt||2 Teaspoon (10 Milliliter)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon (2 Milliliter)|
– Sprinkle green tomatoes with salt and drain in a colander for 12 hours. Rinse.
– In a large saucepan, bring all ingredients except nutmeg to a boil. Simmer for 40 minutes or until vinegar is completely reduced. Add nutmeg and cook a few minutes longer. Let mixture stand to cool, then pour into jars.
