Savory Chuck Steak
|Beef chuck steak||3 1⁄2 Pound (About 1 1/2 Inches Thick)|
|Salad oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Onion soup mix||1 3⁄8 Ounce (1 Envelope)|
|Chili sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Parsley sprigs||1 , chopped (For Garnish)|
About 35 minutes before serving: With sharp knife, cut and discard fat and bones from chuck steak; cut meat into strips 1/4-inch wide.
In large bowl, toss chuck with flour, salt and pepper.
In large skillet over medium heat, in hot salad oil, brown steak.
Add onion-soup mix, 1 cup cold water and chili sauce.
Simmer, covered, 25 minutes or until meat is tender.
Serve, garnished with parsley.
