Parsnip Chowder

I love parsnips and this Parsnip Chowder has been my personal favorite, specially coz this root vegetable is so great! I am sure you too will love this Parsnip Chowder recipe, coz it guarantee all your favorite ingredients. Give it a try and ley me know how it turned out for you.
  Drippings/Fat 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , sliced
  Parsnips 1 Cup (16 tbs), cubed
  Potatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs), cubed
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Cracker crumbs 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Chopped parsley 1 Tablespoon

Heat drippings (preferably bacon drippings) and fry onioris add parsnips, potatoes, and water and simmer 1/2 hour.
Combine melted butter or margarine with cracker-crumbs and add to hot milk combine with vegetable mixture.
Add seasonings.
Garnish withchopped parsley and serve
