Landlubbers Chowder

Ingredients
  Shark steaks 1 Pound
  Bacon strips 3
  Onion 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
  Condensed cream of potato soup 21 1⁄2 Ounce (2 Cans Of 10 3/4 Ounce)
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 1 Pound, stewed (1 Can)
  Frozen mixed vegetables 10 Ounce, thawed (1 Package)
  Canned whole kernel corn 8 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1 Small
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Thaw fish if frozen
2. Cut into chunks

MAKING
3. Fry bacon in Dutch oven until crisp, then drain bacon on absorbent paper and crumble
4. Cook onion in bacon drippings until tender; add soup, milk, tomatoes, vegetables, corn, salt, pepper and bay leaf
5. Heat, stirring occasionally, until simmering
6. Add fish and bacon and simmer fish 10 minutes per inch of thickness

SERVING
7. Serve with bread or salads
