Clam Chowder

Try out this new way to prepare your favorite dish, Clam Chowder . A rather simple way to indulge in a gourmet treat! So just give this Clam Chowder a try!
Ingredients
  Clams/2 cans minced clams 2 Dozen
  Finely diced salt pork 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cubed potatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Clam juice and water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Tomato juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Baking soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped parsley 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Prepare clams and chop.
Saute salt pork until lightly browned; add onion and cook until soft.
Add potatoes, clam juice and water.
Cover, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Add tomato juice, clams and pepper.
Cook slowly uncovered about 8 minutes; add soda, mix well and add milk.
If necessary season with salt.
Sprinkle with parsley and serve at once.
Makes 7 1/2 cups.
