Ingredients
  Onion 1 , sliced
  Garlic bud 1 , minced
  Chopped celery 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt pork 1⁄4 Pound, chopped
  Chopped potatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Raw Ones)
  Boiling water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Canned tomatoes 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Sieved)
  Chopped clams 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Fresh / Canned)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Chowder crackers 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

1. Saute onion, garlic and celery with the salt pork 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
2. Add the potatoes, water and tomatoes. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
3. Add the chopped clams, salt, pepper and thyme. Simmer 2 or 3 minutes more.
